Getting Started
What is PlanMyHours?
PlanMyHours is for freelancers who work with more than one client. You set your availability once, each client calendar stays private, and each project shows what you agreed, what is left, and hours used vs the client's budget or hours cap so you can plan the week inside that cap.
How do I get started?
Sign up for a free account and connect your calendar. You can start tracking time immediately and upgrade to the paid plan when you need more client calendars. A team plan for a shared workspace is coming later.
Do I need to install any software?
No! PlanMyHours is a web-based platform that works in your browser. No downloads or installations required.
Features & Functionality
Can I track time across multiple projects?
Yes! PlanMyHours allows you to create unlimited projects and track time seamlessly across all of them. You can easily switch between projects and see detailed breakdowns of where your time is spent.
How does calendar integration work?
Connect a client’s Google Calendar. When you are booked, other client calendars show a private “Not Available” block. The meeting title stays on the calendar it belongs to.
What reporting features are available?
Generate detailed reports on time spent, project progress, and productivity metrics. Export reports in various formats including PDF and CSV for client billing and internal analysis.
Can I manage multiple clients?
Absolutely! Organize your work by clients and projects. Each client can have multiple projects, and you can track time, generate reports, and manage communications all in one place.
Pricing & Plans
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes basic time tracking, 2 client calendars, essential availability management, and your own OpenAI key for project notes. PlanMyHours does not bill those model calls. Perfect for getting started.
What's included in the Advanced plan?
The Advanced plan includes unlimited client calendars, advanced time tracking & reporting, smart conflict resolution, advanced project management, and priority support.
What about the team plan?
Team is the third plan, and it is not open yet. It will be a shared workspace: add someone to a project, and keep the same calendars, picture, and hours. Free and the paid plan are what you can use now.
Do I pay you for AI?
No. The free plan and the paid plan both let you connect your own OpenAI key for project notes. PlanMyHours does not bill you for those model calls. The picture of the project still works if you have not connected a key.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect immediately, and billing is prorated accordingly.

How do I get support?
Email support is available on the paid plan. The team plan is not open yet.
Is my data secure?
Yes! We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your data. All data is backed up regularly and stored securely in the cloud.
Can I export my data?
Absolutely! You can export your time tracking data, project information, and reports at any time in various formats including CSV and JSON.
